THE JANÁČEK BRNO FESTIVAL 2021 ?

In 2021 you can look forward to 7 moved performances from 2020, so watch our current program. The next 8th year will take place on November 2 – 20, 2022. The Janáček Brno festival ranks among the most important events in the European cultural calendar. It is devoted to the artistic legacy of one the greatest Czech composers, Leoš Janáček, and comprehensively presents his life’s work in an international context.

Thanks to the festival’s reputation abroad, it has attracted productions by leading, world-class figures in the area of the performing arts, such as Robert Carsen, David Pountney, Kornél Mundruczó Robert Wilson, Calixto Bieito, Harry Kupfer, Peter Konwitschny, David Radok and Jiří Kylián. The festival also collaborates with prominent conductors like Jakub Hrůša, Tomáš Netopil, Tomáš Hanus and Marko Ivanović.
